One day we found a stone that had obviously been part of an oval stone that was broken during shaping, and the lapidary really tried hard to save the larger side of it. Because broken things can be fixed, we set this stone in one of the most unique frames we’ve built to date. This Steampunk-inspired, heart-shaped box was challenging to say the least, but we think it perfectly illustrates why we went ahead and worked with this stone. The frame build includes copper swirls, stainless steel and copper coils, twisted copper wire, and stainless steel wraps. The steampunk gear is not permanently affixed, so it can be removed  upon request, but with the gear, this is a fantastic Steampunk piece.
